Getting married in the City of Love is the perfect dream elopement. But even in this magical setting, the unexpected can happen anytime! I was about to experience it first-hand during this Winter wedding photo session in Paris…
Daisy and Julian looked stunning in their wedding gown and suit, though they had actually gotten married a few months prior in California. On their honeymoon trip to Europe, the newlyweds chose to have their bride and groom portraits taken in the most romantic city in the World… Paris, of course!

We met at Trocadero on this very cold Winter day. Daisy and Julian were real troopers, smiling casually and braving the freezing 20 degrees!!

We then moved to our next spot: the gorgeous Alexander III Bridge.
I had been feeling under the weather and the extreme cold didn’t help, but I’m dedicated to giving my best for my couples to get beautiful shots, no matter the circumstances. My body decided otherwise and I suddenly collapsed… Yep, I totally passed out in the middle of Paris! Thankfully, I quickly regained consciousness and since we had planned to go to the Louvre pyramid next, we got there and stopped at a café for some hot chocolate which was definitely welcome to us all!

We then resumed the photo session and got gorgeous shots at the almost empty Cour Napoléon. Our tour ended at Palais Royal, right accross the street from the Louvre Museum.

Daisy and Julian were so awesome despite the extremely cold weather and my little incident… I’m so thankful for the kindness, understanding and care they provided, in addition to being such great models! Hopefully, that kind of incident won’t ever happen again! If you plan a Winter/cold weather session, make sure to be extra cautious and wear warm clothes (even if you take them off while shooting!)
I ended up going to the doctor and learning I actually had the flu! In spite of that, I’ll keep a fond memory of this romantic session in Paris with Daisy and Julian 😉

Looking at the photos from our Paris photo shoot & I can’t help but smile. Marie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing these shots, especially in the 20° weather we had that day! I’m truly impressed & grateful to have worked with you!
