General Questions

Where are you based?

I am based in Orange, near Avignon in the Vaucluse, PACA (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur) region of France. I work throughout Provence, across France, and also internationally.

What are your rates?

I offer different packages that include preparation before the photo session, the photoshoot itself, careful selection and editing of the images, and delivery of a private, password-protected gallery.
A selection of products (prints, enlargements, books/albums…) is also available à la carte.
I invite you to contact me here to discuss your project and receive my brochure 🙂

Is photography your full-time profession?

Absolutely. I started professional photography in 2008 and created my own business in 2012. It’s a great privilege to live off my passion. My specialties are portrait and reportage photography. I love documenting life’s happiest moments: engagements, pregnancy, wedding anniversaries, travel, baptisms, birthdays… and of course, weddings. I also offer services to professionals (seminars, store openings, marketing materials…).

What equipment do you use?

I photograph with professional-grade mirrorless cameras, lenses, and flashes. My two main cameras are Canon R5s. I also have backup equipment. I work almost exclusively with prime lenses with apertures from f/1.4 to f/1.8: 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. I sometimes use zoom lenses, a 24–70mm and a 70–200mm f/2.8, to capture more spontaneous shots from a distance. I also have Canon speedlite flashes, which I only use at night or in dark indoor settings.

How do you secure the files?

After a shoot, I copy all files to two external hard drives for backup. After delivery, I keep two copies of the final photos for at least two years: one at my home and one at my parents’ home. I also encourage my clients to do the same. These memories deserve to be carefully preserved.

What is post-production?

After a shoot, RAW files need to be developed. I start with a careful selection of photos, removing duplicates, closed eyes, etc. The best photos are then individually optimized in a natural way: I adjust color balance, brightness, contrast, and framing. I never use automatic editing software. The goal is to enhance the photo while telling your story as faithfully as possible. It’s often during post-production that a photographer’s artistic style truly emerges.

How many photos will we receive?

Based on my experience, I’ve established an average number of delivered images for each package. Often, there are more! I do not limit myself during the shoot or the selection process. All photos are delivered in high resolution, in color and black & white, without watermarks, so you can freely share, print, and post them on social media 🙂

When will we receive our photos?

Post-production requires many hours of work. I prefer to start as soon as possible to retain the atmosphere of the shoot, delivering the online password-protected gallery within 1–2 weeks for photo sessions and 3–4 weeks for weddings.

We would like to replicate example photos. Is that possible?

Let’s discuss it, as it depends. My goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your photo session, so I will do my best to create the images you dream of.
However, every photographer has their own style and personality, so it’s impossible to recreate another photographer’s exact photo. That said, we can absolutely draw inspiration from a mood or pose. I recommend checking Instagram or Pinterest, which are full of ideas!

Can we talk on the phone, via video, or meet in person?

Of course! We’ll take the time to discuss your photo session preparation, how it will unfold, your expectations, and your story to produce beautiful images that reflect you.
I am reachable by phone at +33 6 38 89 37 75 or via Google Meet / FaceTime / WhatsApp, depending on your preference. If you’d like an in-person meeting, that’s also possible. Just ask for an appointment 🙂

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as possible! My calendar fills up quickly, so I recommend booking your session early to have the best choice of dates.

Can you hold a date for us?

During our initial contact, you will have priority for the date in question. However, until a contract is signed and a deposit is paid, the date remains available to other clients.

What happens in case of cancellation?

To protect both you and me, all cancellation terms are detailed in the contract we will sign.

Wedding Photography Questions

Can you photograph our wedding in __? How much will it cost?

I love to travel and do so gladly for my work! In addition to Provence, I travel throughout France and even abroad for weddings and photo sessions. Travel and accommodation fees may apply. Talk to me about your project for a personalized quote.

Do you work alone?

Most of the time, yes. Sometimes I work in pairs when necessary (e.g., large guest lists). I can also recommend a second photographer if needed.

What happens if it rains? And if something goes wrong?

Let’s not be pessimistic! In case of bad weather, I equip my gear for protection and adapt, just like you. My contract contains a clause protecting both of us, specifying cancellation conditions in case of force majeure. On the wedding day, I plan extra time and bring backup equipment. If necessary, I can call on my network of contacts.

We are stressed about couple photos. What should we do?

Rest assured: I’m not comfortable in front of the camera either, which is why I’m behind it! Don’t worry about the couple session—it’s meant to be a pleasant, intimate moment for you to reconnect after the ceremony. Enjoy it! 15–30 minutes is enough to get beautiful, natural photos in your chosen location. I also recommend reading my article, 5 Key Tips for a Natural Photo Session”, to calm your fears. The engagement session also helps you get familiar with the camera and me, so you’ll feel more comfortable on the wedding day and have great photos for your invitations.

We don’t want group photos. Is that okay?

Of course, I won’t force you. Experience shows that couples who skip them entirely often regret it later. I completely understand wanting to enjoy time with your guests, but take at least a few moments for photos with your parents and witnesses. You can make them fun—silly faces, props, etc.

Do you scout locations beforehand?

It depends. If I know the locations well, a scouting session isn’t always necessary. But I always offer to meet the couple at the venue before the wedding if schedules allow.

Do we need to provide a meal for you?

If your package includes coverage of the wedding reception, yes. Please provide a seated, hot meal. I recommend asking your caterer to serve vendors immediately after guests, so we can eat at the same time and remain fully available for capturing activities between courses.

Some of our guests don’t speak French. Do you speak other languages?

I love foreign languages! I’m bilingual in English thanks to two years in the US. I also speak Italian. Working with international clients is a real pleasure 🙂

How can we ask our guests not to take photos during the ceremony?

Nothing is more frustrating for the couple than a sea of smartphones instead of guests’ faces during the ceremony. I recommend informing guests that you’ve hired a professional photographer and that all photos will be available via a password-protected gallery, where they can download images for free or order prints. You can also create a nice sign at the entrance asking them to turn off phones and cameras for the ceremony.

Can you deliver the RAW/original photos?

I don’t consider my work complete if I deliver RAW/original files. I spend a lot of time adjusting color and optimizing each photo, which is why I don’t provide RAW/original images.

Can we modify our package?

Of course! You can upgrade your package at any time. You can also add extra hours on the wedding day or include a photo book before or after the wedding.

We’re interested. How do we book?

I’m honored that you want to work with me! Let’s meet to discuss your wedding. After signing the contract, a first deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. A second deposit of 30% is due two months before the wedding, and the remaining 40% is payable on the wedding day. I can’t wait to meet you!

Photo Session Questions

We’re not photogenic… Will you help us pose?

I often photograph people who have never worked with a professional photographer. I will guide you simply and help you overcome any apprehension. I also recommend reading my article, 5 Key Tips for a Natural Photo Session to ease your fears.

How should we dress for our photo session?

Wear something that makes you feel good. Avoid black, busy patterns, and too many colors. You can add accessories (hats, glasses, balloons, champagne, treats…). I also suggest reading my article, How to Dress for a Photo Session for more detailed advice.

Can we change outfits?

Yes, if time allows. I have a portable changing booth, very convenient for outdoor sessions. In the city, there are always cafés on the way. We can also stop at your hotel or home to change without wrinkling clothes. Remember, the time spent changing counts toward the session. My advice: prepare outfits and accessories the day before!

Which locations do you recommend?

I created a guide of the most beautiful locations just for you!

How can we prepare our children for a family session?

I wrote an article on this topic. Following these tips, your children will be better prepared, you’ll have a pleasant experience together, and you’ll get beautiful family photos.

What if the weather is bad?

If the forecast is unfavorable, we’ll try to reschedule the session. That’s why I recommend not scheduling your session on the last day of your stay (if you’re not local).
Rain or snow can be romantic, but they are challenging and sometimes unpleasant. Don’t worry: light or intermittent rain is manageable. Overcast skies also provide diffuse light, often better than strong sunlight. Some covered locations make excellent backup options. Bring a nice umbrella just in case!

How do you photograph popular locations without crowds?

There’s no secret: I get up early! To avoid crowds at popular spots, I recommend morning sessions, especially in summer. I also use framing and depth of field to focus attention on you. Don’t worry, there are always lesser-known viewpoints that work all day.

What time should we schedule our session?

Late afternoon / sunset light is beautiful. I avoid midday, especially on sunny days, unless necessary, because the sun overhead creates harsh shadows. Morning is also very pleasant, particularly in summer when it heats up quickly.

Can we extend our session?

Absolutely! You can upgrade your package at any time—even on the day itself—if you feel the session is too short 🙂

We’re interested. How do we book?

I’m honored that you want to work with me! Let’s discuss your session. After signing the contract, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due on the day of the session. I can’t wait to meet you!
